FT2900 TX mod

I have the FT 2900 R/E

When I attempted the mod, I was partially successful

While it now does TX on all freq, if power is set to level three or four, the radio shuts off and restarts

I note that other instructions on the web suggest also soldering the middle jumper (which was necessary on the 2800) however this achieves the same result, it doesn't seem to matter whether the middle jumper is soldered or not, the radio still shuts off on the higher transmit power

I believe that this indicates an inadequate power supply. At 65 watt output your transmitter requires 13.8 V. Hope this helps.
